NABSP DC and the Lifting As We Climb Foundation has partnered with D.C Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to kick off our official community charitable effort for the 2009 Thanksgiving holiday. “SOUP FOR S.O.M.E”
(S.O.M.E = So Others Might Eat, a Homeless Shelter in Washington, DC. S.O.M.E feeds an average of 750 men, women, and children per day!)
With your help, we will collect over 1,000 cans of soup for the homeless by November 21st!!!
We are specifically only collecting the “pop-top” cans of soup. (i.e. Cans that do NOT require a can opener). This is important, because the many men and women that we are serving do not have homes or the utensils to be able to open traditional cans of soup.
